Najibullah Hakimi





Najib is an immigrant and a US immigration attorney. He has assisted immigrants with asylum, family-based immigration, humanitarian parole (HP), removal defense, release from detention, lawful permanent resident (Green Card), Naturalization or Citizenship, and other forms of immigration relief. He has assisted immigrants from Asia, Middle East, Africa, and South America.

Najib Hakimi is a published legal scholar. He has written academic articles. He built a rich knowledge of law through obtaining his Bachelor of Law from Afghanistan in 2011, winning international law moot court competition in 2012, getting his Master of Law from the University of Washington in 2015, and attending his Ph.D. in Law studies at the University of Washington in 2017 and 2018.

Najib Hakimi's knowledge of law, personal immigration experience, and expertise with immigrants in America equipped him with the skills that best fit an immigration attorney.

Zarifullah Darkhily





Zarifullah Darkhily is a Paralegal at Najib Hakimi Law PLLC. He holds an LLM in Sustainable International Development Law (2015) from the University of Washington School of Law. After graduating in 2015, Darkhily joined the Faculty of Public Policy and Administration at Kabul University.

From 2018 to 2021, he served as the Head of the Public Administration Department at the aforementioned faculty.

Darkhily has taught International Law and International Human Rights Law at the University of Missouri in the United States.

Darkhily has also been involved in various legal education programs and has worked with several international organizations active in legal education and legal aid such as Dexis (formerly known as the Checchi-ADALAT Project) and the Legal Education Support Program for Afghanistan.

He has participated in, coached for, and judged the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competitions.

Ahmad Vali Behnood





Ahmad Vali Behnood obtained his LL.M. in Sustainable International Development from University of Washington, School of law. He is a graduate of Albironi University Faculty of Law and Political Science. He has worked with numerous USAID funded projects in legal education in Afghanistan. In his last legal education journey, he was Team Leader of the Legal Education component of ADALAT project, run by Checchi and Company Consulting Inc. Before this, Behnood had been working with Legal Education Support Program-Afghanistan (LESPA), running legal education programs for Albironi and Panjshir universities.

As a student, Behnood has been doing extracurricular activities through his LL.B journey. He attended the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition. Upon his graduation, he coached Albironi and Panjshir Jessup teams. He even judged the international rounds of the competitions in Washington DC. As someone who had always been involved with practical legal programs at universities, he served as a volunteer lecturer with the two mentioned universities.
